About the role
Dreamland Studio builds websites, web apps, and digital platforms. Our delivery is strong — our pipeline needs work. We're looking for someone focused on finding the small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs who need digital work done and bringing them to us.
You don't need to build anything, quote anything, or manage anything. Your job is to open doors. We handle everything from scoping to delivery.
What you'll do
Find prospects — identify small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs in Johannesburg and nationally who need a website, landing page, or digital presence.
Make contact — cold outreach, networking events, LinkedIn, WhatsApp groups, local business chambers, walk-ins. Whatever gets you in front of decision makers.
Qualify leads — confirm they have a real need, a realistic budget, and are ready to start. Not every business that needs a website is ready to pay for one.
Set meetings — connect qualified prospects with Muthelo for scoping and quoting. You introduce, we take it from there.
Follow up — track your pipeline, chase sent proposals, and help close deals. The follow-up is where most opportunities die. Don't let them.
Who you're looking for
Restaurants, salons, gyms, and retail businesses with no website or an outdated one. Startups and new businesses needing a landing page or MVP. Events, campaigns, and organisations needing registration or promotional sites. Professionals and creatives wanting a portfolio or personal website. Any business whose current website looks like it was built in 2015.
Typical project values range from R5,000 for a simple landing page to R30,000 to R80,000 or more for a full website or web application.
How you earn
Commission — 10 to 15 percent of the total project value, paid when the client pays their deposit. A R15,000 website earns you R1,800. A R50,000 web app earns you R6,000. If a client you brought in returns for more work, you earn commission on the first follow-up project too.
Skill swap — if you're a freelancer or creative who needs a website or app built for yourself, we trade. You bring in clients, we build something for you. Value R15,000 to R40,000 or more.
Portfolio collaboration — for marketing or business students who want real-world business development experience, mentorship from the founder, and a professional reference.
What we're looking for
- A natural networker — you talk to people, not at them
- Not afraid of cold outreach — DMs, calls, walk-ins, whatever works
- Organised enough to track leads and follow up consistently
- Johannesburg-based preferred for local networking events
- Honest — no overpromising to close deals
