Content Creator & Social Media Partner

Dreamland Studio is looking for a content creator to own our visual presence on Instagram and LinkedIn.

We build websites, web apps, and digital platforms for clients across South Africa. Our work is strong — our visibility isn't. That's the gap this role fills.

You'll be responsible for the content that makes Dreamland visible to the businesses and people who should be working with us. This isn't a support role — you're leading the function.

What you'll own

Instagram — 8 to 12 posts per month. Carousels, reels, behind-the-scenes content, and project showcases that maintain the Dreamland editorial aesthetic.

LinkedIn — 4 to 8 posts per month. Founder-voice posts written from Muthelo's perspective, project announcements, and industry commentary.

Blog repurposing — our journal at dreamlandstudio.co.za/blog has editorial pieces that need to be adapted into social-native content.

Visual direction — maintaining a cohesive aesthetic across platforms. Dark backgrounds, gold accents, cinematic typography. Think Monocle meets A24 meets Teenage Engineering.

Community — engaging with relevant accounts, responding to comments, and growing the audience with intention.

How this works

This is a collaboration, not a traditional hire. Two models depending on what fits your situation.

Skill swap — you handle our content for 3 to 6 months. In exchange, we design and build you a custom website, portfolio, or digital product for your own brand. Real development work worth R15,000 to R40,000 or more. Both sides deliver, both sides benefit.

Portfolio collaboration — for students and recent graduates. You work on a live studio brand, not a simulated university brief. You get hands-on mentorship from the founder, credited portfolio pieces, a professional reference letter, and first option for a paid role when Dreamland scales.
